Back in the Day with John and Jay

Episode 75: The Crow (1994) // It can't rain all the time!

John and Jay Episode 75

It's the early 90's and the success of Tim Burton's Batman begun a spree of comic book films.  Film studio's were getting their mitts on any and all comic book IP rights to adapt to the big screen.  Paramount (then Miramax after Lee's death) took up the Crow written by James O'Barr.  As mentioned, tragedy struck production as star Brandon Lee was accidently shot and killed on set.  In essence, that tragedy only builds the mystique of the film that has similar tones of dread and darkness.  Take a listen as we go over all the caw caw's.
